The department’s teachers continue to provide remote career guidance during the current academic year regarding admission to the J4 “Occupational health and safety” specialty of the “Occupational health and safety” educational program. In November 2025, remote career guidance events were held with students of Zolochiv lyceum №2 (Kharkiv region), Kharkiv lyceums №74 and 100, Pyriatyn lyceum №4 (Poltava region), Gadyach lyceum №3 named after Ivan Vyhovsky (Poltava region), and with students of the Kharkiv Professional College of Technology and Design and the Kharkiv Regional Center for Professional Education in Printing Media Technologies and Mechanical Engineering.
The first remote career guidance event was held on November 6, 2025, by associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn and senior lecturer L. Yashchenko with students from Kharkiv lyceum №74. It was held with the active support and assistance of the lyceum administration – Deputy Director for Educational Work Svetlana Beketova and geography teacher Svetlana Shklyoda. Sixteen students participated in the event.
The second remote career guidance event was held on November 7, 2025, by associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn with students of Zolochiv lyceum №2 (Kharkiv region). It was held with the active support and assistance of the lyceum administration – Deputy Director for Educational Work Lyudmila Tkach and teacher Irina Moiseenko. Twenty students participated in the event.
The third remote career guidance event was held on November 11, 2025, by associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn and senior lecturer L. Yashchenko with students of the Kharkiv Professional College of Technology and Design. It was held with the active support and assistance of the college administration – Deputy Director for Educational and Pedagogical Work Zernii Olena Volodymyrivna. Six college students took part in the event.
The fourth remote career guidance event was held on November 14, 2025, by associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn and professor L. Vaskovets with students from Pyriatyn Lyceum №4 (Poltava region). It was held with the active support and assistance of the lyceum administration – Deputy Director for Educational Work Vasylenko Valentina Mykolayivna and history teacher Babych Galina Mykhailivna. Forty students participated in the event.
The fifth remote career guidance event was held on November 19, 2025, by associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn with students from Kharkiv lyceum №100. It was held with the active support and assistance of the lyceum administration – Deputy Director for Educational and Pedagogical Work Oksana Pavlenko. Fifteen students participated in the event.
The sixth remote career guidance event was held on November 25 by associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn at the Kharkiv Regional Center for Vocational Education and Media Technologies. It was held with the active support and assistance of the lyceum administration – Deputy Director for Educational Work Svitlana Viktorivna Moiseenko. Twenty-six students participated in the event.
The last – seventh – remote career guidance event this month was held on November 26 by associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn at the Ivan Vyhovsky lyceum №3 in Hadyach with the assistance of Deputy Director for Educational Work Lyudmila Ivanivna Voznytsia. Twenty-one students participated in the event.
During all these events, associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn told the audience about NTU “KhPI”, the advantages of studying there, in particular, in the J4 “Occupational health and safety” specialty, various aspects of both last year’s admission campaign to higher education institutions and preparations for this year’s campaign, which is already underway.
In turn, during the event at Pyriatyn lyceum №4, prof. Vaskovets L. spoke about the prospects for employment and career growth after completing studies in the J4 specialty “Occupational health and safety” and Senior lecturer L. Yashchenko spoke in detail about the department’s international connections in the context of internships and double degrees for students studying J4 “Occupational health and safety” at a European higher education institution – Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (Poland). In particular, this academic year, in the fall semester, students D.D. Romanova (group MIT-624) and K.D. Reshetnyak (group MIT-622) are studying under the Erasmus+ program at the University of Tartu (Estonia).
Speaking to potential applicants, associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn organically combined a presentation with information about the specialty and conducted demonstration measurements using the instruments of the training laboratory of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Safety of certain parameters of harmful and dangerous production factors, namely temperature – with a Mestek IR01C pyrometer, and air velocity – with VTMETER BT-816V vane anemometers and MS-13 cup anemometers.
Thus, in November 2025, 144 potential applicants took part in the department’s remote career guidance events. The remote career guidance work of the department’s teachers continues!
