The department’s teachers are continuing their remote career guidance work this academic year regarding admission to the J4 “Occupational health and safety” educational program “Occupational health and safety” educational program. In December 2025, remote career guidance events were held with students of the Poltava Professional College of Transport Construction; Poltava Higher Interregional Vocational School; Kharkiv Machine-Building Professional College; Kharkiv Computer and Technology Vocational College of NTU “KhPI”; students of Putivl Lyceum №2 named after G.Ya. Bazima (Sumy region); Hlukhiv Secondary School №1 (Sumy region); Konotop Lyceum №9 (Sumy region); Kharkiv Lyceum №16; Birkivsky Lyceum (village of Birky, Kharkiv region).
The first remote career guidance event was held on December 5, 2025, by associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn, professor L. Vaskovets and senior lecturer L. Yashchenko with students from Putivl Lyceum №2 named after G.Y. Bazima. It was held with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work Olena Anatoliivna Tarasova. Seven students took part in the event.
The second remote career guidance event was held on December 9, 2025, at the Poltava Professional College of Transport Construction by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and senior lecturer L.O. Yashchenko. It was held with the active support and assistance of the head of the mechanical department of this college, a member of the cycle commission for professional and practical training in the specialty G11 “Mechanical Engineering” senior lecturer Iryna Serhiivna Zvol, and a lecturer in complex mechanization and automation in transport construction, electric drive and basics of machine automation, senior lecturer Yurii Yaroslavovych Kolisa. Fourteen college students took part in the event.
The third remote career guidance event was held on December 10, 2025, at the Kharkiv Machine Building Technical College by associate pofessor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and senior lecturer L.O. Yashchenko. It was held with the active support and assistance of Vitaliy Serhiyovych Pyrizhko, head of the educational and industrial practice department of the college. In addition to the staff of our department, teachers from the Department of Alternative Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering of the O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv also took part in this event. Sixteen college students participated in the event.
The fourth remote career guidance event was held on December 11, 2025, at Hlukhiv Secondary School №1 (Sumy region) by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn. It was held with the active support and assistance of the school’s principal, Alla Matosova, computer science teacher Ruslan Bazuk, and 11th grade homeroom teacher Olena Paladych. Fourteen students participated in the event.
The fifth remote career guidance event was held on December 12, 2025, at Konotop Lyceum №9 (Sumy region) by Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and Senior Lecturer L.O. Yashchenko. It was held with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work, Luzan Olena Petrivna, and foreign literature teacher Yeresko Natalia Vasylivna. Eleven students took part in the event.
The sixth remote career guidance event was held on December 12, 2025, at Kharkiv lyceum №16 by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn, professor L.A. Vaskovets, and senior lecturer L.O. Yashchenko. It was held with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work, Makarenko Olena Mykhailivna. Ten students took part in the event.
The seventh remote career guidance event was held on December 17, 2025, at the Kharkiv Computer and Technology College of the National Technical University “KhPI” by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn. It was held with the active support and assistance of the college director, Iryna Ivanivna Didukh. Seven final-year students took part in the event.
The eighth remote career guidance event was held on December 18, 2025, at the Poltava Higher Interregional Vocational School by associate professor Y. V. Yashcheritsyn and senior lecturer L. O. Yashchenko. It was held with the active support and assistance of the acting director of the school, Valentina Ivanivna Chovnova, and lecturer Viktoria Ivanivna Voitovich. Twenty-five students from the school took part in the event.
The ninth remote career guidance event was held on December 19, 2025, at the Birky Lyceum by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and professor L.A. Vaskovets. It was held with the active support and assistance of Deputy Director for Educational Work Lyubov Viktorivna Basova. Ten 11th-grade students participated in the event.
During all these events, associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn told the audience about NTU “KhPI”, the advantages of studying there, in particular, in the J4 “Occupational health and safety” specialty, various aspects of both last year’s admission campaign to higher education institutions and preparations for this year’s campaign, which is already underway.

In turn, during events at Putivl lyceum №2 named after G.Ya. Bazimy, Kharkiv lyceum №16 and Birkivsky Lyceum, prof. Vaskovets L.A. spoke about the prospects for employment and career growth after completing studies in the J4 specialty “Occupational health and safety”.
Senior lecturer L.O. Yashchenko during events at Putivl Lyceum №2 named after G.Y. Bazimy; Poltava Professional College of Transport Construction; Kharkiv Machine Building Professional College; Konotop Lyceum №9, Kharkiv Lyceum №16, and Poltava Higher Interregional Vocational School, spoke in detail about the department’s international ties in the context of internships and double degrees for students majoring in J4 “Occupational health and safety” at a European higher education institution – Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (Poland). In particular, this academic year, in the fall semester, students D.D. Romanova (MIT-624) and K.D. Reshetnyak (MIT-622) are studying under the Erasmus+ program at the University of Tartu in Tartu (Estonia).
Speaking to potential applicants, associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn organically combined the presentation with information about the specialty, the material base of the department, and demonstration measurements using the instruments of the training laboratory. Thus, in December 2025, 114 potential applicants took part in nine remote career guidance events organized by the department. The remote career guidance work of the department’s teachers continues!
