Another career guidance event, which took place this month with the participation of the department’s teachers, was the Open Day of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of NTU “KhPI”. The event was held on April 12, and, unlike last year, was held in a remote format. The Department of Occupational and Environment Safety was represented by the head of the department, prof. S. Vambol. During his speech to the audience, he spoke about the important role of specialists in the specialty J4 “Occupational health and safety” in production, the features of training and internships of our students in European higher education institutions. He did not ignore the prospects of employment, pointing out the constant demand for specialists in the specialty J4 “Occupational health and safety” both in the labor market of Kharkiv and in Ukraine.

The last distance career guidance this month was an event held at Koryukiv Lyceum №3 (Chernihiv region) on April 25 by assoc. prof. E. Yascheritsyn together with Senior Lecturer L. Yashchenko. It took place with the active support and assistance of the Lyceum Director, Gayovoy Oleg Mikhailovich, and his deputy for educational work, Pomaz Larisa Leonidivna. 32 11th grade students participated in the event.

During a distance career guidance event at the Kharkiv Regional Medical Professional College, prof. V. Berezutsky told the students about NTU “KhPI”, the advantages of studying there, in particular, in the specialty J4 “Occupational health and safety”. In turn, assoc. prof. E. Yascheritsyn told the students both at the above-mentioned educational institution, as well as at Barvinkiv Lyceum №3 and Koryukiv Lyceum №3 about various aspects of both last year’s admission campaign to higher educational institutions and about the preparation for this year’s, which is already underway. Prof. L. Vaskovets spoke about the prospects for employment and career growth after completing studies in the specialty J4 “Occupational health and safety”.

Speaking to the students, Assoc. Prof. Yascheritsyn E.V. organically combined the demonstration of the presentation with information about the specialty and conducting demonstration measurements using the devices of the educational laboratory of the Department of “Occupational and Environment Safety” of some parameters of harmful and dangerous production factors, namely, the level of production noise – with a sound level meter RTF 00024 “Robotron” and air speed – with a vane anemometer VTMETER VT-816V.

Important details in the career guidance reports were the presentation by Senior Lecturer L. Yashchenko of the department’s international relations in the context of internships for students of the specialty J4 “Occupational health and safety” in European higher education institutions – the University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic) and the Jan Dlugosz University in Częstochowa (Poland).

All of the above career guidance events aroused great interest among students, teachers, and the administration of the educational institutions in which they were held, as evidenced by the significant number of questions asked to the speakers.
The remote career guidance work of the department’s teachers continues!
