Remote career guidance work in January 2026

The department’s teachers continue to provide remote career guidance during the current academic year regarding admission to the J4 “Occupational health and safety” educational program “Occupational health and safety”. In January 2026, career guidance events were held with students of the Kharkiv lyceum “Boyko’s Author’s School,” Konotop lyceum №2 (Sumy region), Zidkiv lyceum named after G.I. Kovtun (Kharkiv region), Kharkiv lyceum №87 and Okhtyr lyceum №1 (Sumy region).
The first career guidance event was held on January 13, 2026, by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn with students from the Kharkiv lyceum “Boyko’s Author’s School”. This event was held as part of the “Evolution of Technology” week, which was organized by the staff of the central admissions committee of the NTU “KhPI” and the administration of this educational institution. For this event, associate professor Yashcheritsyn E.V. developed a lecture on “The Evolution of Methods for Controlling Microclimate Parameters,” which was given to 7th grade students with the active assistance of biology teacher Donda Marianna Igorevna and teacher Monzolevsky Vladislav Alexandrovich. Twenty-five students participated in the event.

The second remote career guidance event was held on January 16, 2026, by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn, professor L.A. Vaskovets, and senior lecturer L.O. Yashchenko with students from Konotop lyceum №2. It was held with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work, Tetyana Oleksandrivna Butko. Nine students took part in the event.

The third remote career guidance event was held on January 19, 2026, by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and professor L.A. Vaskovets with students from the G.I. Kovtun lyceum in Zidkiv. It was held with the active support and assistance of the lyceum’s director, Yulia Vasylivna Rezenko and the homeroom teacher of the 11th grade, Svitlana Anatoliivna Shydlovska. Eighteen students participated in the event.

The fourth remote career guidance event was held on January 22, 2026, by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and senior lecturer L.O. Yashchenko with students from Kharkiv lyceum №87. It was held with the active support and assistance of the deputy director of the lyceum for educational work, Kozhevnikova Irina Nikolaevna. Nine students took part in the event.

The fifth remote career guidance event was held on January 28, 2026, by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn with students of Okhtyrka lyceum №1. It was held with the active support and assistance of the lyceum’s deputy director for educational work, Nadiya Ivanivna Yermolenko, as well as history and law teacher Lyudmila Oleksandrivna Garmash and Ukrainian language and literature teacher Galina Anatoliivna Vasheva. 36 students from grades 11 took part in the event.

During all these events, associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn told the audience about NTU “KhPI”, the advantages of studying there, in particular, in the J4 “Occupational health and safety” specialty, various aspects of both last year’s admission campaign to higher education institutions and preparations for this year’s campaign, which is already underway.

In turn, during events at Konotop lyceum №2 and Zidkiv lyceum named after G.I. Kovtun, prof. Vaskovets L.A. spoke about the prospects for employment and career growth after completing studies in the J4 specialty “Occupational health and safety”.

During events at Konotop lyceum №2 and Kharkiv lyceum №87, senior lecturer L.O. Yashchenko spoke in detail about the department’s international ties in the context of internships and double degrees for students studying J4 “Occupational health and safety” at a European higher education institution, Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (Poland). In particular, this academic year, in the fall semester, D.D. Romanova, senior student of group MIT-624 and K.D. Reshetnyak, senior student of group MIT-622 are studying under the Erasmus+ program at the University of Tartu in Tartu (Estonia).

Speaking to potential applicants, associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn organically combined the presentation with information about the specialty, the material base of the department, and demonstration measurements using the instruments of the training laboratory. Thus, in January 2026, 97 potential applicants took part in five career guidance events organized by the department. The career guidance work of the department’s teachers continues!
