Educational achievements of the students of the department of OandES
Every year, NTU «KhPI» holds a scholarship contest for applicants to receive a named award for personal educational and scientific achievements among the student community. Active career orientation work continues regarding the admission of applicants in 2025 to the J4 “Occupational health and safety” specialty of the “Occupational health and safety” educational program. January 28, 2025 assoc. prof. Eugene Yascheritsin together with prof. Liudmyla Vaskovets another remote career guidance event was held with eleventh-graders of Okhtyr lyceum № 1 (Sum region). In this educational institution, the event was held with the active support and assistance of the deputy director of the lyceum for educational work Nadia Ivanovna Yermolenko, and no less than 22 students took part in it. 
Active career orientation work continues regarding the admission of applicants in 2025 to the J4 “Occupational health and safety” specialty of the “Occupational health and safety” educational program. In January 2025 assoc. prof. Eugene Yascheritsin together with prof. Liudmyla Vaskovets regular remote career guidance events were held with eleventh-graders of Kharkiv lyceums №80 and 87; Konotop lyceum №2 and Zydykiv lyceum (Kharkiv region). In addition, career guidance information was forwarded to the administration of Konotop lyceum №5. 
This year, the OandES department held the 16th International Internet Conference “Human Safety in Modern Conditions”. More than 71 abstracts of reports were submitted to the conference, with a total of 116 participants. Last year there were 92 participants. Of all the reports, there are four reports with scientists living in other countries – the USA, Slovakia, Jordan and China.
Getting an education is a responsible process of acquiring new knowledge and professional skills through personal experience. To achieve success and development, it is important to constantly improve your knowledge, use all opportunities and strive for more. An international internship for students of education opens up many opportunities for future professionals, expands the boundaries of professional self-realization and adds competitive advantages in the international labor market.
On December 26 from 11:00 a.m. at the base of Khpi National Technical University. until 3:00 p.m., the “Polytech-2024” job fair took place offline in the bomb shelter of the university.
This year, the traditional international conference International Symposium on Environment and Chemical Engineering took place, which was held in a hybrid format, both online and at Universitas Udayana Denpasar Bali, on December 19-20, 2024. The organizers of the conference this year chose the main topic: Creating a safe environment to improve the quality of life.
State certification of masters was held at the department of Occupational and environmental safety. The head of the State Examination Commission (SEC), the head of the department of Computer Modeling and Integrated Pressure Processing Technologies, doc. of tech. scien., professor V. Chuhlib, as well as the members of the SEC: the head of the “OandES” department, professor S. Vambol, associate professor I. Mezentseva, associate professor N. Yevtushenko and secretary associate professor N. Tverdokhlebova for three days, full-time and part-time master’s degree graduates were examined. Masters took the written exam and orally answered the questions of the SEC members. 
Today, December 11, 2024, masters of specialty 263 “Civil Security” educational program “Occupational safety and health” successfully passed the certification exam. This important stage became a key component of the professional development of future specialists. They fully met the teachers’ expectations and confirmed their status as experts in the field of occupational health and safety.
