Remote career guidance events in lyceums of Kharkiv and the region in November 2024
Active career orientation work continues regarding the admission of applicants in 2025 to specialty 263 “Civil Security” educational program “Occupational safety and health”. In November 2024 assoc. prof. Eugene Yascheritsin regular distance career guidance events were held with eleventh-graders of Kharkiv Lyceum №100, Barvinkiv Lyceum №2, and Zolochiv Lyceum №2 (Kharkiv Region).

On the occasion of the International Student Day, the Directorate of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport had the honor of honoring two representatives of the student community of our department – students of the MIT-621 group Maksym Boychenko and Daria Slivna – with certificates of honor.
Among the current news of the department today is the scientific internship of the student of the MIT-M623 group Elizaveta Sotnikova at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic), within the framework of the ERASMUS+ KA1 program, coordinated by the European Commission. As part of her internship, a student of our department studies several disciplines, including Course syllabus KTO/DP-2024 and Course syllabus KTO/EXK-2024. Training for student trainees is conducted in English. Also, as part of her internship, Elizaveta Sotnikova visited the university’s scientific laboratories from various directions and got acquainted with the work of a modern 3D metal printer.
As part of the career guidance work for the admission of applicants in the coming year 2025 to the specialty 263 “Civil security” educational program “Occupational safety and health”, on October 21, 2024, a remote career guidance event was held with the schoolchildren of Kharkiv Lyceum №74 by the associate professor of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Safety Eugene Yascheritsin.

Docent Eugene Yascheritsin remote career guidance events were held on October 15 with students of the 11th grade of Zolochiv Lyceum №3 (Kharkiv region) and on October 17 with students of the Kharkiv Regional Center for Vocational Education of Polygraphic Media Technologies and Mechanical Engineering.
On October 10, 2024, Yaroslav Afanasiyovych Samborskyi, the deputy head of the Educational and methodological center of civil protection and life safety of Chernivtsi region, as part of the mandatory educational component “Safety of production processes and equipment”, gave a lecture to students of the MIT-621 and MIT-622c groups on the topic “Civil safety and technical safety of production processes”.
As part of the career guidance work for the admission of applicants in the coming year 2025 to the specialty 263 “Civil security” educational program “Occupational safety and health” on October 9, 2024 with schoolchildren of the 10th and 11th grades of the Mazhar Lyceum of the Kegychiv Settlement Council (Kharkiv Region) the first remote career guidance event was held this academic year, assoc. prof. Eugene Yascheritsin.
On September 30, 2024, as part of the “Fundamentals of engineering training” program (lecturer assoc. prof. Nataliia Yevtushenko), students of the MIT-624 group were given a lecture on the topic “Engineering competence and practical solutions in the field of occupational health and safety”, which was conducted by the director of the Safety Department and monitoring of LLC “Newton-Promservice” Serhii Mezentsev. During the speech S. Mezentsev drew attention to the importance of labor protection as a key element of safety at enterprises. He shared practical approaches to implementing effective measures to protect the health and life of workers.
