Academic integrity is a set of ethical principles and rules defined by law that should guide participants in the educational process during training, teaching and conducting scientific (creative) activities in order to ensure confidence in the results of learning and/or scientific (creative) achievements, according to the “Law of Ukraine on Education.”

Academic integrity is designed to combat various types of plagiarism; fabrication and falsification of scientific research results; cheating, cheating, bribery, etc.

In the community of Ukrainian scientists, the concept of “academic integrity” became widespread in 2016, thanks to a project initiated by the American Council for International Education together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the relevant Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The main goal is to popularize among the scientific community the norms of academic integrity aimed at the qualitative transformation of the Ukrainian educational system.

A regulatory framework has been created at NTU “KhPI” to ensure academic integrity in the educational and scientific activities of the university. Its basic documents are: “Code of Ethics of Academic Relations and Integrity of the National Technical University”Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, “” Description of the system of internal quality assurance of educational activities and the quality of higher education, “” Regulations on the system of prevention and detection of academic plagiarism in the final qualification works of applicants for higher education of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,” etc. They were created taking into account the norms of the current legislation of Ukraine and are aimed at preventing and preventing manifestations of academic dishonesty.  https://www.kpi.kharkov.ua/ukr/2021/10/21/hpi-akademichna-dobrochesnist/
