Applicants wishing to enter the magistracy in 2023 must pass a single entrance exam, or a single entrance exam and a single professional entrance examination, or a professional exam or interview at the university.
This year, for all future masters, except for those who will enter exclusively on a contract for specialties that are provided with special state support, a single entrance exam (EUI) will be held.
Terms of registration of applicants to the magistracy
Registration for master’s tests in 2023 begins on May 08 (from 9:00) and ends at 18:00 on May 31.
Until June 18, all registered exam participants will receive an invitation-pass on their information page “Cabinet of entrants,” where the date, time and place of testing will be indicated.
Terms of master’s tests
Entrance tests are conducted in two stages:
- main session (from June 23 to July 21);
- additional session (from 3 to 16 August);
- special session.
A specially organized session of the EVI will be held on a paid basis within the terms determined by the Ministry of Education and Science. To take part in it will be able to applicants who wish to re-take the EIE, or those who did not register to participate in the main session.
Terms of interviews
Individual oral interviews in higher education institutions instead of a single entrance exam, professional exams, professional exams instead of EFVV are held from 17 to 28 July (inclusive).
The professional exam for persons participating in the competitive selection exclusively for a contract is held from July 31 to 18:00 on August 14.
Terms of registration of electronic cabinets and receipt of documents
Registration of electronic cabinets of applicants and downloading of necessary documents begins on July 01.
Applications for admission begin on 31 July and end at 18:00 on 21 August.
Terms of enrollment of masters on the budget
Recommendations for enrollment by state order (budget) are provided no later than August 26. Requirements for enrollment (submission of original documents) must be completed before 18:00 on August 29. The order for enrollment in the budget is issued on August 31.
Transfer to vacant budget places and places at the expense of targeted preferential state loans of persons enrolled in training for a contract is carried out no later than September 8.
Registration and work of electronic cabinets of applicants ends on November 30.
Terms of enrollment of masters on the contract
Providing recommendations for enrollment and publication of the list of recommended for applicants who enter the field at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities for open and fixed bids is carried out no earlier than August 30.
Enrollment of applicants for training at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities takes place no later than September 30. To enter the magistracy on a contract based on a bachelor’s degree, educational institutions can set additional deadlines for accepting applications and documents, competitive selection and enrollment for training at the expense of individuals and legal entities from July 01 to November 30.
At the same time, the results of a single entrance exam, or a single entrance exam and a single professional entrance test, or the results of a professional exam taken at a higher education institution are used.
Higher education institutions in the Admission Rules may provide for enrollment of applicants to the magistracy for a contract on the basis of a master’s degree (educational qualification of a specialist) in several stages (including before the end date of admission of documents), provided that such applicants are enrolled before November 30, 2023.
