On January 27, 2022, a modern cluster was opened for the implementation of the unique educational program of NTU “KhPI”, namely Innovation Campus.
This is the first freelance project in Ukraine that combines IT training, business school and coworking. It is carried out jointly by the rector of NTU “KhPI” Yevhen Sokol and the founder of the holding UFuture and innovation parks UNIT.City in Kyiv and Kharkiv, the chairman of the Supervisory Board of KhPI Vasyl Khmelnytsky.
The opening of the campus was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet, the Governor of Kharkiv Region Oleh Sinyohubov and the Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
Rector of NTU “KhPI” Yevhen Sokol gave a short tour of the new building of the Innovation Campus and stressed that it is the embodiment of combining the potential of KhPI, state and business. ” Speaking about the educational programs that will be implemented on campus and in which students of the SEMIT Department will participate, the rector emphasized that they “collected the latest technologies: peer-to-peer learning, ie cooperation on equal terms, gamification, project training “.
“Today, business is being fully modernized and digitalized, which is one of the breakthroughs in the development of any economy, including the Ukrainian one. Therefore, the development of the IT sector is considered a priority by the state – said Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet at the opening ceremony.
“We need to unite the efforts of the state, scientists and entrepreneurs to create conditions, return and retain talent in Ukraine,” said the founder of the holding company UFuture, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KhPI Vasyl Khmelnytsky.
The Innovative Campus educational project has already received high marks from experts: it was among the top ten (out of more than 1,300 participants, 105 countries) at the QS-Wharton Reimagine Education Awards 2021, which evaluates innovative pedagogical approaches.
