Selective educational components (Profile blocks). Brief description
1. Computer systems and system programming
The focus of this specialization is development of modern software for computer systems, intelligent information processing systems, quality assurance of computer systems and networks (DevOps); design of system programs, involvement in design and experimental work in the area of robotics.
2. Mobile engineering and application programming
A feature of the block’s disciplines is the focus on mastering knowledge and skills that allow you to manage mobile devices and fill them with new properties depending on the field of application, develop a wide range of software (Front-end, Back-end, Web, etc.).
3. Innovation Campus
A feature of the disciplines of the block “Innovation Campus” is their focus on the innovative educational trajectory, which was developed by a team of Ukrainian IT specialists in cooperation with teachers of the Department of Information Technology. The concept of the program is a transition from a declarative learning scheme, the basis of which is the acquisition of knowledge, to a project scheme aimed at acquiring practical skills in creating products and systems.
Theoretical training is carried out on the basis of the university, and practical training and mastering of IT disciplines and programming languages is carried out on the basis of the Innovation Campus using such learning technologies as: self-study; peer-to-peer technology; Gamification on the pool of projects formed by the department’s teachers from the relevant (student-chosen) training track (Web programming, Mobile device programming, Machine learning, Data science, Cyber security). The evaluation of the results of the pool of projects is carried out on the one hand by the students themselves and the automated LMS system, which performs tests and checks deadlines and compliance with norms of integrity (or plagiarism), and on the other hand, by the teachers of the department when summing up the mastery of a particular subject.
