On October 10, 2025, the XV All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference on Labor Law “The Latest Paradigm of Labor Law and Social Security Law: Scientific Horizons” was held, dedicated to the bright memory of the corresponding member of the National Academy of Labor and Social Security of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Oleg Mykolayovych Yaroshenko.
The main postulates of the “genius” of the field of labor law, as everyone calls him:
Labor law should take a central place in the legal system, which provides for:
- priority of labor rights over economic benefit;
- Labor law should protect workers from exploitation and ensure decent working conditions, regardless of the economic situation;
- development of social dialogue and partnership.
- decisions concerning labor relations should be made with the participation of the state, employers, and trade unions;
- increasing the level of legal culture in the labor sphere, in particular, every citizen must know their labor rights and be able to protect them, effective control over compliance with labor legislation.
The state must ensure the inevitability of sanctions for violations of labor rights.
Associate Professor of the Department of Law, O.V. Gaevaya, who is a student of the outstanding scientist, took an active part in the conference.
The conference took place in a warm, friendly atmosphere of reminiscence and scientific discussion.
