Remote career guidance events in lyceums of Kharkiv and the region in November 2024

Active career orientation work continues regarding the admission of applicants in 2025 to specialty 263 “Civil Security” educational program “Occupational safety and health”. In November 2024 assoc. prof. Eugene Yascheritsin regular distance career guidance events were held with eleventh-graders of Kharkiv Lyceum №100, Barvinkiv Lyceum №2, and Zolochiv Lyceum №2 (Kharkiv Region).
In Barvinkiv Lyceum №2, the event was held on November 12 with the active support and assistance of the director – Natalya Valentyvna Rudkovska, deputy director for educational work – Maryna Serhiyivna Voronkova, and Shlochok Vera Oleksiivna, the teacher took part in it 15 schoolchildren 11th grade.

In Kharkiv Lyceum №100, the event was held on November 13 with the active support and assistance of Oksana Mykolaivna Pavlenko, 15 schoolchildren took part in it.

In Zolochiv Lyceum №2, the event was held on November 14 with the active support and assistance of the deputy director of educational work Lyudmila Mykolaivna Tkach, 18 schoolchildren took part in it.

During these events, each of which lasted almost 30 minutes, the speaker told the audience about various aspects of the past admission campaign to higher educational institutions in 2024, the advantages of studying at NTU “KhPI”, in particular, and in the specialty 263 “Civil Security” educational program “Occupational safety and health” and prospects for employment and career growth.

Speaking to the students, the speaker organically combined the demonstration of the presentation with information about the specialty and conducting demonstration measurements using the devices of the educational laboratory of the Department of Occupational Safety and Environment of some parameters of harmful and dangerous production factors, namely, temperature – with a Mestek IR01C pyrometer; illumination – with a Yu-116 luxmeter; air velocity – with a VTMETER VT-816V vane anemometer and a MS-13 cup anemometer, production noise – with a Robotron 00024 noise meter.

During the events, their participants showed interest in the process of measuring the levels of production factors, asked questions related to various aspects of training and admission to higher educational institutions, in particular, to specialty 263 “Civil Security” at NTU “KhPI”.
