On October 10, 2024, Yaroslav Afanasiyovych Samborskyi, the deputy head of the Educational and methodological center of civil protection and life safety of Chernivtsi region, as part of the mandatory educational component “Safety of production processes and equipment”, gave a lecture to students of the MIT-621 and MIT-622c groups on the topic “Civil safety and technical safety of production processes”.
The relevance of the topic of the lecture lies in the pressing issues of the modern special period. Samborskyi Ya.A. noted that production processes are inextricably linked with the processes taking place in society. According to the new standards, issues of labor protection, civil protection and fire safety will be combined. Therefore, applicants, as future specialists and managers in the field of civil safety, need to have knowledge of both labor protection and civil protection and fire safety.
The speaker also recommended a certain range of employment for applicants taking into account the specifics of the specialty, namely in the State Border Guard Service, the State Emergency Service, the National Police, local authorities and others. Suggestions were also made regarding the need for further study at the master’s level in 263 specialties.
In addition to the students, the guarantors of the OPP 263 specialty of bachelor’s and master’s level education, associate professors Nataliia Yevtushenko, took part in the discussion of the lecture and Iryna Mezentseva and the head of the department of occupational safety and environment, professor Sergij Vambol.
