On August 25, 2026, a meeting was held between representatives of NTU “KhPI” and the Interregional Center for Humanitarian Demining and Rapid Response of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, during which a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed. The event was attended by: the acting rector of NTU “KhPI” professor Galina Tymchenko; the vice rector for scientific and pedagogical work, professor Oleksiy Larin; and the head of the Interregional Center, Civil Protection Service Colonel Serhiy Ivanov. Representatives from relevant departments and research units at NTU “KhPI” – working in the fields of robotics, unmanned technologies, artificial intelligence, modeling, materials science, and testing of technical equipment – also joined the discussion. One of the representatives from the relevant departments who was present at the event was professor Serhij Vambol, Head of the Department OandES.
At this event, various achievements of the departments and research units of the NTU “KhPI” were presented in the form of specific innovations and technologies. In particular, the Department of OandES presented its educational activities and achievements in the field of civil protection.
The signed memorandum lays the groundwork for further cooperation, including joint research, testing, and practical evaluation of innovative technical solutions.
