Elvira Stanislavivna Akimova, a master’s student majoring in J4 «Occupational health and safety», received the V.L. Kirpichov Scholarship.
The V.L. Kirpichov Scholarship is a named scholarship established by the Academic Council of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» in honor of the university’s first rector, Viktor Lvovich Kirpichov. The decision to establish the V.L. Kirpichov named Scholarship for students was adopted by the Academic Council of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» in 2017.
Elvira Akimova has been studying the J4 major, «Occupational health and safety» since her bachelor’s degree program. After graduating with honors from her bachelor’s program, she decided to continue her studies in a master’s program in the same field. Having successfully combined her studies with practical work, she plans to defend her thesis this year on a topic related to her professional field under the supervision of associate professor O.G. Yanchik of the department.
The scholarship is awarded to full-time students for the duration of the current semester by a decision of the University Academic Council, upon the recommendation of the deans of the faculties and based on the recommendations of the University Scholarship Committee. According to the Regulations on the V.L. Kirpichov named Scholarship at NTU «KhPI», it may be awarded to students «for outstanding achievements in their studies and scientific and technical work, who uphold the university’s honor at national and international academic competitions and athletic events, and who actively participate in civic and cultural life».
This year, E.S. Akimova was included in the list of students from various university programs who are maintaining «excellent» grades, are actively engaged in research, and participate in national academic competitions and conferences, sports championships, and university events.
