Remote career guidance work continues in the current academic year for admission to specialty J4 “Occupational health and safety” educational program “Occupational health and safety.” In October 2025, remote career guidance events were held with students from Kharkiv Lyceum №91, Zolochiv Lyceum №3 (Kharkiv region) and Reshetylivka Lyceum named after I.L. Oliinyk (Reshetylivka, Poltava region).
The first remote career guidance event in October was held on October 6, 2025, by associate professor Yascheritsin Eugene and professor Vaskovets Liudmyla with students from Kharkiv Lyceum №91. It was held with the active support and assistance of the lyceum administration – Deputy Director for Educational Work Oksana Viktorivna Lebedynets and Class 11A Homeroom Teacher Inna Valentynivna Golenkova. Eleven students participated in the event.
The second career guidance event was held on October 17 at Zolochiv Lyceum №3 by associate professor Yascheritsin Eugene and senior lecturer Yashchenko Larysa. It was held with the active support and assistance of the lyceum administration – Deputy Director for Educational Work Inna Vyacheslavivna Lominoga and physics teacher Natalia Yevgeniivna Belyaninova. Twenty-three students and two teachers took part in the event.
During both events, associate professor Y. Yashcheritsyn told the audience about NTU “KhPI”, the advantages of studying there, in particular, in the J4 “Occupational health and safety” specialty, various aspects of both last year’s admission campaign to higher education institutions and preparations for this year’s campaign, which is already underway. In turn, during the event at Kharkiv Lyceum №91, professor Vaskovets Liudmyla spoke about the prospects for employment and career growth after completing studies in the J4 “Occupational health and safety” specialty and enior lecturer Yashchenko Larysa during the event at Zolochiv Lyceum №3, spoke in detail about the department’s international ties in the context of internships and double degrees for students studying J4 “Occupational health and safety” at a European higher education institution, the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (Poland). In particular, this academic year – in the autumn semester – students from group MIT-624 D. Romanova and group MIT-622 K.D. Reshetnyak, are studying under the Erasmus+ program at the University of Tartu (Estonia).

Speaking to students, associate professor Yascheritsin Eugene organically combined the presentation with information about the specialty and conducted demonstration measurements using the instruments of the training laboratory of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Safety of certain parameters of harmful and hazardous production factors, namely temperature – with a Mestek IR01C pyrometer and air velocity – with VTMETER BT-816V vane anemometers and MS-13 cup anemometers.
The third and fourth remote career guidance events were conducted by associate professor Yascheritsin Eugene. On October 21, as part of the university-wide career guidance event “Subject Decades” with the Reshetylivka Lyceum named after I.L. Oliinyk (Reshetylivka, Poltava region), which was organized by the Center for Professional Development of the NTU “KhPI.” The essence of these events was to conduct a lesson with 11th graders on a topic related to the profile of the NTU “KhPI” department. Accordingly, the topic “Physical hazards in the learning environment” was chosen for our department. Therefore, these activities were conducted during physics classes with grades 11B and 11V with the active support and assistance of physics teacher Oleksandr Stanislavovych Rafalskyi. A total of 20 students took part in the events.
