Greetings from Estonia!

My semester at the University of Tartu as part of the academic mobility program is almost over, and I want to share my impressions and some news.
I’ll start with the more formal part — studying. For the first time in my life, I had exams in a lecture hall, and I also took an oral exam in English. The most important task in the exam is to pass it.
So far, I’ve been successful and have already received credits for two subjects, with the rest coming in January.
Then I have two more exams and the defense of a group project, which we will most likely prepare after the New Year, because many people have gone home for the holidays! Read more…

Remote career guidance work in December 2025

The department’s teachers are continuing their remote career guidance work this academic year regarding admission to the J4 “Occupational health and safety” educational program “Occupational health and safety” educational program. In December 2025, remote career guidance events were held with students of the Poltava Professional College of Transport Construction; Poltava Higher Interregional Vocational School; Kharkiv Machine-Building Professional College; Kharkiv Computer and Technology Vocational College of NTU “KhPI”; students of Putivl Lyceum №2 named after G.Ya. Annual master’s thesis defense

On December 9 and 10, 2025, the Department of Occupational and environmental safety held the defense of master’s theses for full-time and part-time students majoring in 263 «Civil Security» under the educational program «Occupational Health and Safety».
Eleven applicants took part in the event, including one foreign student (Republic of Azerbaijan). The topics of research covered current issues of occupational safety, civil protection, technological safety, as well as risk management, industrial hazard management, and improving working conditions and safety levels at modern enterprises. Conducting the conference “Human Safety in Modern Conditions” – 2025
