The department’s teachers continue to provide remote career guidance during the current academic year regarding admission to the J4 «Occupational health and safety» specialty of the «Occupational health and safety» educational program. In February 2026, career guidance events were held with students of Kremenchug Lyceum №4 «Kremin» (Poltava region), Kharkiv Lyceums №64, 17, 80, Kaniv Lyceum «Harmonia» (Cherkasy region), Okhtyrka Secondary School №2 (Sumy region), Barvinkivsky Lyceum №3 (Kharkiv region), and students of the graduating class of the O.O. Morozov Kharkiv Mechanical and Technological College.
The first remote career guidance event was held on February 4, 2026, by Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and Senior Lecturer L.O. Yashchenko with eleventh-grade students of Kremenchug Lyceum №4 «Kremin». It was held with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work, Shushpanova Oleksandra Leonidivna. Eight students took part in the event.
The second remote career guidance session was held on February 5, 2026, by Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and Senior Lecturer L.O. Yashchenko with eleventh-grade students of Kharkiv Lyceum №64. It was conducted with the active support and assistance of Deputy Director for Educational Work Galina Yakovlevna Kuzmenko. Twenty-five students participated in the event.
The third remote career guidance event was held on February 11 by Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn with students from the Kaniv Lyceum «Harmony». It was held with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work, Lyudmila Anatolyevna Gritsenko. Eight 11th grade students participated in the event.
The fourth remote career guidance event was also held on February 11 by Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn with eleventh graders from Okhtyrka Secondary School №2. It was held with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work, Svetlana Nikolaevna Bychkova. Twenty-three students participated in the event.
The fifth remote career guidance event was also held on February 17 by Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn, Professor L.A. Vaskovets, and Senior Lecturer L.O. Yashchenko with eleventh-grade students from Barvinkivsky Lyceum №3. It was held with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work, Iryna Anatoliivna Bilytska. Thirteen students took part in the event.
The sixth remote career guidance event was organized by senior lecturer L.O. Yashchenko and held on February 20, 2026, by associate professor E.V. Yashcheritsyn and senior lecturer L.O. Yashchenko with students from Kharkiv Lyceum №17. It was held with the active support and assistance of the lyceum administration and chemistry and biology teacher Alla Loktionova. Six students participated in the event.
The seventh remote career guidance event was also held on February 20, 2026, by Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and Senior Lecturer L.O. Yashchenko with final-year students of the O.O. Morozov Kharkiv Mechanical and Technological College. It was organized with the active support and assistance of the acting director of the college, Tetyana Mykolayivna Belova, and the class teacher of students of group 337-K-4, Oleksandra Vyacheslavivna Chebotaryova. Eighteen students took part in the event.
The eighth event, held on February 27, 2026, by Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn with students from Kharkiv Lyceum №80, unlike all previous events, was held in person in a protective shelter. The event was organized with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work, Olena Volodymyrivna Dmytrikova. As part of this event, two separate meetings were held with students from grades 11A and 11B, attended by 17 and 23 participants, respectively.
During all these events, Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn told the audience about NTU «KhPI», the advantages of studying there, in particular, in the J4 «Occupational health and safety» specialty, various aspects of both last year’s admission campaign to higher education institutions and preparations for this year’s campaign, which is already underway.
In turn, during events at Barvinkivsky Lyceum №3, Prof. Vaskovets L.A. spoke about the prospects for employment and career growth after completing studies in the J4 specialty «Occupational health and safety».
Senior Lecturer L.O. Yashchenko during events at Kremenchuk Lyceum №4 «Kremin», Kharkiv Lyceums №64 and 17, Barvinkivsky Lyceum №3, and the O.O. Morozov Kharkiv Mechanical and Technological College. Morozova spoke in detail about the department’s international ties in the context of internships and double degrees for students majoring in J4 «Occupational health and safety» at a European higher education institution, Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (Poland). In particular, this academic year, in the fall semester, students D.D. Romanova (group MIT-624) and K.D. Reshetnyak (group MIT-622) are studying under the Erasmus+ program at the University of Tartu in Tartu (Estonia).
Speaking to potential applicants, Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn organically combined the presentation with information about the specialty, the material base of the department, and demonstration measurements using the instruments of the department’s training laboratory “Occupational and Environmental Safety” of certain parameters of harmful and hazardous production factors, namely, temperature – with a Mestek IR01C pyrometer, air velocity – with VTMETER BT-816V vane anemometers and MS-13 cup anemometers.

Thus, in February 2026, 141 potential applicants participated in eight career guidance events organized by the department. The career guidance work of the department’s teachers continues!
