Holding an event dedicated to World Day for Safety and Health at Work

Every year on April 28, the global progressive community observes World Day for Safety and Health at Work, which aims to draw attention to issues related to the protection of human life and health in the workplace. The implementation of measures aimed at improving the safety and health of workers at work is regulated by the Council Directive of the European Communities of June 12, 1989 (89/391/EEC). By ratifying a number of International Labour Organization conventions in the field of occupational safety and health, Ukraine is steadily bringing its national occupational safety and health system into line with European Union standards.

Final practical training for bachelor’s students

In accordance with the training curriculum for the 2025–2026 academic year, the final practical training for bachelor’s degree graduates majoring in 263 – Civil Security began on April 20, 2026. The internship is taking place at companies in the city of Kharkiv, where our graduates are applying their theoretical knowledge. Thus, as part of the comprehensive practical training program, our student Kateryna Reshetnyak, in accordance with the agreement between the University and the Production Division of the Kharkiv Passenger Car Depot – Passenger Branch of “Passenger Company” JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia,” is completing her internship as an occupational safety specialist. Career guidance activities in March 2026

The department’s faculty members are continuing their remote career guidance activities this academic year regarding admission to the J4 “Occupational health and safety” major within the “Occupational health and safety” educational program. In March 2026, remote career guidance events were held with students from Kharkiv lyceum № 126; Beresynsky lyceum № 3, Barvinkivsky lyceum № 2 (Kharkiv Oblast), Chernivtsi Lyceum № 13, and graduating students of the Kharkiv Machine-Building Vocational College, as well as an in-person event with students from the Kharkiv Lyceum “Boiko’s Author’s School”.
The first remote career guidance event was held on March 17, 2026, by Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn with students from grades 11A and 11B of Kharkiv lyceum № 126. Read more…
