Annual master’s thesis defense

On December 9 and 10, 2025, the Department of Occupational and environmental safety held the defense of master’s theses for full-time and part-time students majoring in 263 «Civil Security» under the educational program «Occupational Health and Safety».
Eleven applicants took part in the event, including one foreign student (Republic of Azerbaijan). The topics of research covered current issues of occupational safety, civil protection, technological safety, as well as risk management, industrial hazard management, and improving working conditions and safety levels at modern enterprises. Conducting the conference “Human Safety in Modern Conditions” – 2025

Remote career guidance work in November 2025

The department’s teachers continue to provide remote career guidance during the current academic year regarding admission to the J4 “Occupational health and safety” specialty of the “Occupational health and safety” educational program. In November 2025, remote career guidance events were held with students of Zolochiv lyceum №2 (Kharkiv region), Kharkiv lyceums №74 and 100, Pyriatyn lyceum №4 (Poltava region), Gadyach lyceum №3 named after Ivan Vyhovsky (Poltava region), and with students of the Kharkiv Professional College of Technology and Design and the Kharkiv Regional Center for Professional Education in Printing Media Technologies and Mechanical Engineering. Conducting a certification exam for masters in specialty 263 “Civil Security”

On December 18-19, 2025 master’s students majoring in 263 “Civil security” educational program “Occupational health and safety” successfully passed the certification exam. Eleven students took the certification exam, including four full-time students (three students from group MIT-M624 and one student from group MIT-M624i) and seven part-time students (MIT-M624z). Based on the exam results, 8 students received an “excellent” grade and 3 received a “good” grade. Diplomas with honors were recommended for: 1 full-time student and 4 part-time students. Read more…

Remote career guidance work in October 2025

Remote career guidance work continues in the current academic year for admission to specialty J4 “Occupational health and safety” educational program “Occupational health and safety.” In October 2025, remote career guidance events were held with students from Kharkiv Lyceum №91, Zolochiv Lyceum №3 (Kharkiv region) and Reshetylivka Lyceum named after I.L. Oliinyk (Reshetylivka, Poltava region).

The first remote career guidance event in October was held on October 6, 2025, by associate professor Yascheritsin Eugene and professor Vaskovets Liudmyla with students from Kharkiv Lyceum №91. Read more…

Meeting of first-year students majoring in J4 “Occupational health and safety” educational and professional program of bachelor’s training with the head of the department and group supervisors

On October 29, 2025, another meeting was held between the head of the department Sergij Vambol, and the curator of the MIT-625 group, associate professor Natalia Tverdokhliebova, with first-year students majoring in J4 “Occupational health and safety”.

The purpose of the meeting was to summarize the interim results of training and discuss issues related to the adaptation of first-year students to the educational process at the university. During the first two months of study, students successfully completed the stage of familiarization with the peculiarities of the educational environment and the organization of the educational process. Remote career guidance work for the 2025-2026 academic year has begun!

This academic year, distance career guidance work regarding admission to the J4 “Occupational health and safety” specialty and the “Occupational health and safety” educational program began almost at the start of the school year, namely in September. The first remote career guidance event was held on September 22, 2025, by associate professor Eugene Yascheritsin with students from Kharkiv lyceum №143.
It was carried out with the active support and assistance of the school administration – Director Olena Oleksandrivna Levchenko, 11th grade homeroom teachers Valeria Oleksandrivna Kotenko, Natalia Oleksandrivna Goranina, Svitlana Mykolaivna Chuchumenko, and history teacher Inna Mykolaivna Sukhodubova. Freshman day

Freshman Day is a holiday dedicated to the beginning of a new stage in the lives of teenagers. And although it is not easy to organize a grand celebration in these difficult times, our indomitable Kharkiv has managed to do even that. This day showed how much Kharkiv and its universities love and care for their students. It is no coincidence that Kharkiv is a city of students! First-year students of NTU “KhPI” were also lucky enough to attend a festive concert. The Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport was represented by two first-year students: Anastasia Chernukha (MIT-625) from the Department of Occupational and Environmental Safety and Maksym Lugovyi (MIT-725) from the Department of Automobile and tractor engineering. On September 23, 2025, a meeting of the staff of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport (ESI MET) was held. One of the main issues was the report by the director of our institute, professor V. Epifanov, on the work of the ESI MET over the previous year. First-year students classes in a bomb shelter

I, Anastasia Chernukha, a first-year student at the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», group MIT-625, had the opportunity to gain an unforgettable experience – to conduct training in bomb shelters. This class gave students an understanding that our institute cares about its students, so that even in such difficult conditions, students have the opportunity to study in familiar surroundings. The educational process is organized so that in the event of an air raid alarm, classes are not interrupted and are held in a safe place.
