On April 22, 2024, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology (ESICSIT) held a significant online meeting with representatives of prominent IT companies, including Cloud Works, Kharkiv IT Cluster, NIX, EigenMethod, TELESENS, GlobalLogic, EPAM Systems, INSART, Sigma Software and others, including students and postgraduates. The discussion focused on updating the institute’s educational programs at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD levels. Stakeholders expressed their opinions on the educational programs, which will help to adapt the curricula to market needs.
The Department of Software Engineering and Management Intelligent Technologies has undergone special changes in its educational programs for the specialties 121 “Software Engineering” and 122 “Computer Science” at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD levels. New specialized packages of disciplines were introduced, such as Applied Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity at the Bachelor’s level, providing students with relevant knowledge and skills. At the Master’s level, the programs were updated with a new catalog of disciplines to provide flexibility in educational directions, meeting the Higher Education standards and market needs. At the PhD level, the program was brought in line with the Standard and recommendations of the Graduate School.
The meeting summarized the importance of close cooperation between educational institutions and representatives of the IT industry, where stakeholders were able to express their opinions and contribute to the development and adaptation of programs. This interaction contributes to the training of qualified specialists capable of meeting the needs of the modern technological world.
