Modern challenges require new forms of cooperation between universities and business, and PrJSC “MHP” is actively implementing innovations in this area. One such example was a three-day technical hackathon in the city of Ladyzhyn, which brought together students from different regions of Ukraine. The organizers provided participants with everything they needed: from compensation for travel costs to accommodation in a dormitory and transfer between locations. Among the selected participants was Dmitry Goncharov, a student of the MIT-422d group, who is studying in the educational program “Machinery and Equipment for Technological Processes”.
During the three days of the hackathon, students were introduced to the processes of modern production. Daily excursions to the divisions of Vinnytsia Poultry Farm LLC began with a safety briefing. Participants saw the entire production cycle — from processing technologies to transportation of finished products. In addition, students were assigned to solve real production problems. Teams worked on creating mechanisms for mandatory disinfection of employees and developed solutions for safely removing film from rolls, using a creative approach to the tasks.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates, new knowledge and valuable practical experience. As Dmytro noted, participation in the hackathon helped him not only to better understand production processes, but also to meet like-minded people. The hackathon proved that such cooperation is beneficial for everyone: students become more confident in their abilities, and employers assess their potential and demonstrate that complex tasks in real production can be interesting and exciting.
