International activity

The international activities of the department are related to the scientific developments of outstanding scientists and designers of the department:

Proskury Georgy Fedorovich, an outstanding scientist, whose name is the department of “Hydraulic machines”.

Gurevich Mikhail Iosifovich, an outstanding aircraft designer, co-author of a series of MiG fighters and cruise missiles known all over the world.

Shmuglyakov Lazar Solomonovich, who developed research methods and devices for carrying out full-scale cavitation tests of hydraulic turbines, which received the highest awards at the Brussels International Exhibition and high marks in scientific circles.

Alexapolsky Dmitry Yakovlevich, developed scientific directions in the field of hydraulic engineering in Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, countries of Africa and Asia.

Barlita Vyacheslav Vasilievich, who was a UNESCO expert and UN consultant on hydromachines, carried out research work for hydropower plants in India.

Potetenko Oleg Vasilievich, who lectured and acted as Deputy Head of the Department of Heat Engineering and Hydraulics at the National Institute of Oil, Gas and Chemistry (Boumerdes, Algeria), and who, in cooperation with Turboatom JSC, introduced scientific results in the construction of hydroelectric power plants in Argentina, Mexico and Greece.

Cherkashenko Mikhail Vladimirovich,who performed work for enterprises: Osrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy elementow I ukladow pneumatyki Kielce; University of mining and metallurgy Cracow, Institute of Automation Bucharest; associations Hydravlika Kazanlak; Novolipetsk Metallurgical Combine; Moscow factories MPO Pnevmoapparat, Krasnaya Presnya, VNIILITMASH. Moscow institutes MEI, MADI; TsPK Rostov and others. Took part in the most prestigious symposia: International Conference on Fluid Power 3 Aahen, Germany; International Conference on Fluid Power 5 Aahen, Germany; Jablonna’89 Varna. Papers were accepted at JFPS International Symposium of Fluid Power Nara 2002, Japan; International Conference on Fluid Power 6, Germany; 8 Ogolnopolski Sympozium Zastosowan teorii systemow Krakov and others. Constantly receives invitations to participate in symposia and conferences held in the USA, Germany, Italy, China and other countries.

The students of the department underwent practical training in Bulgaria, Poland and the Czech Republic.
