Scientific activity
At the Department of Computer Science and Intellectual Property, scientific and technical activities are carried out in the following areas:
- economic and legal problems of technology transfer and the use of intellectual property;
- theory of technology and means of consolidation and intellectual analysis of information;
- pattern recognition based on testing complex hypotheses based on quantitative and qualitative assessments of features;
- development of analytical and software tools for the study of economic and mathematical models of business processes;
- optimization of information support for scientific and innovative activities;
- improvement of the intellectual property management system in medicine.
The Department of Computer Science and Intellectual Property is an academic partner of the world leader in IT technologies, IBM. The Academic Competence Center ІВМ and the laboratory “IT Incubator” jointly with the Institute of Advanced Research and Technologies “INSART” function on its basis. The teachers of the department have received the IBM Faculty Award four times for the introduction of open standards and corporate technologies of IBM into the educational process.
