Active career guidance work continues regarding the admission of applicants in 2025 to the J4 «Occupational health and safety» specialty of the «Occupational health and safety» educational program. In the first half of February 2025 associate professor E. Yashcheritsyn together with professor L. Vaskovets another remote career guidance event was held with students of the Kharkiv Mechanical and Technological College, students of the Kaniv Academic Lyceum «Harmony» and Okhtyrka Secondary School № 2.
At the Kharkiv Mechanical and Technological College, the event was held on February 5 with the active support and assistance of the acting director – Tetyana Mykolaivna Belova, and at least 35 participants took part in it. In its essence, it was a small remote open house lasting more than an hour, in which representatives of the departments of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Research of our university, as well as representatives of other higher educational institutions, as well as representatives of enterprises, participated.
In the Kaniv academic lyceum «Harmony» (Cherkasy region), the event was held on February 6 with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work – Ludmila Anatoliivna Hrytsenko and the class teacher of the 11th grade – Viktor Volodymyrovych Misiong. 10 students of the 11th grade took part in the event, which lasted about 30 minutes.
In the Okhtyrka secondary school I-III grade № 2 (Sumy region), the event was held on February 13 with the active support and assistance of the deputy director for educational work – Svitlana Mykolaivna Bychkova and the class teacher of the 11th grade – Svitlana Vasylivna Aloshkina. 23 schoolchildren from the 11th grade took part in the event, which, like the previous one, lasted almost 30 minutes.
During all these events assoc. prof. E. Yashcheritsyn told the listeners about NTU «KhPI», the advantages of studying there, in particular, and the J4 «Occupational health and safety» specialty, various aspects of both last year’s admissions campaign to higher educational institutions, and about the preparation for this year’s, which is already underway. In turn, prof. L. Vaskovets spoke about the prospects for employment and career growth after completing studies in the J4 «Occupational health and safety» specialty.
The above-mentioned events aroused great interest among the college students and schoolchildren present at it, as evidenced by the significant number of questions asked to the speakers.
Speaking before the students, assoc. prof. E. Yashcheritsyn organically combined the demonstration of the presentation with information about the specialty with demonstration measurements with the devices of the educational laboratory of the “Occupational and environmental safety” department of some parameters of harmful and dangerous production factors, namely, temperature – with a Mestek IR01C pyrometer and air movement speed – with a vane anemometer VTMETER VT-816В.
