Among the current news of the department today is the scientific internship of the student of the MIT-M623 group Elizaveta Sotnikova at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic), within the framework of the ERASMUS+ KA1 program, coordinated by the European Commission. As part of her internship, a student of our department studies several disciplines, including Course syllabus KTO/DP-2024 and Course syllabus KTO/EXK-2024. Training for student trainees is conducted in English. Also, as part of her internship, Elizaveta Sotnikova visited the university’s scientific laboratories from various directions and got acquainted with the work of a modern 3D metal printer. Among the educational and research trips to enterprises in the engineering industry was a visit to a landfill for the collection and processing of metal waste in the city of Pilsen (Czech Republic), where the difference between an ordinary landfill and a landfill was demonstrated – a specially built engineering facility for processing or burying waste, which is equipped in such a way , to prevent harm to people and the environment.
