The Department of Software Engineering and Intelligent Management Technologies of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” is pleased to announce the continuation of cooperation with the University of Klagenfurt (Austria) through a new Student Exchange Agreement signed in 2026. The agreement expands international academic mobility opportunities for students and further strengthens the long-standing partnership between the two universities.

The cooperation between the institutions has a successful history and now enters a new stage of development. Under the agreement, students may participate in semester-long or full academic year exchange programs at the partner university, with the possibility of transferring earned academic credits to their home institution.
According to the agreement, the universities may exchange up to five full-year students or ten semester students per academic year in each direction. The duration of the exchange period ranges from one semester to one academic year.
To participate in the program, students must demonstrate strong academic performance, remain enrolled as full-time students at their home institution, and possess sufficient language proficiency to successfully follow courses at the host university. NTU “KhPI” bachelor students must have completed at least four semesters of study, while master’s students must have completed at least one semester before the start of the exchange period.
The University of Klagenfurt provides exchange students with access to academic courses, support during their integration into university life, and an official academic transcript upon completion of the mobility period. Credits earned abroad may be recognized by NTU “KhPI” in accordance with the university’s academic regulations and procedures.
One of the key advantages of the program is the waiver of tuition fees at the host institution. Students are, however, responsible for covering their own accommodation, travel, meals, visa, health insurance, and other personal expenses.
The agreement is valid for five years and may be extended upon mutual consent of the parties. It provides students with valuable opportunities to study in an international academic environment, strengthen their professional and intercultural competencies, improve foreign language skills, and gain experience with European higher education practices.
