The Center for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment

The Center for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment “Innovative Campus” at NTU “KhPI” is an infrastructure unit created to provide wide access to a modern computer environment for research, educational projects, and the development of digital competencies.

The center operates on the basis of 120 Apple iMac computers (late 2015). The technical characteristics of the equipment allow for full-fledged research tasks in the field of applied computer science, information technology, knowledge management, educational analytics, and digital humanities.

The CCUSE serves as an open digital laboratory where students, postgraduates and young scientists can conduct individual or group research, including as part of course, diploma, master’s and dissertation work. A special feature of the Center is the support of interdisciplinary initiatives that involve the integration of digital analysis tools into humanities, socio-economic and engineering research.

Student research clubs and research projects are organized on the basis of the Center. The Center operates according to a regulated schedule with preliminary electronic booking of workplaces. Its activities are coordinated in compliance with the principles of open science, academic integrity and equal access to the University’s scientific infrastructure.
