On April 24, an open online meeting was held on the topic “Modern Full-Stack Technologies in IT: What Should You Study?”, which brought together prospective students, current students, and anyone interested in the latest trends in the IT industry.

The main guest of the event was Oksana Laschenko—a full-stack developer at Scheidt & Bachmann and a graduate student in the Department of Computer Modeling of Processes and Systems. Also joining the discussion were Associate Professor Volodymyr Mietielov and Oleksii Larin, Director of the Institute of Computer Modeling, Applied Physics, and Mathematics, who served as the interviewer.

In a live dialogue format, the participants discussed current issues in the development of the full-stack field: from the basic technology stack and the pace of its changes to the role of fundamental knowledge, the impact of AI tools, and the skills needed to build a successful career. Special attention was given to practical advice for those just starting out in the IT field.

The meeting was a great opportunity to get honest answers from a practicing developer and understand what real professional development looks like in today’s IT environment.
