The All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad is held every year, and this academic year is no exception! Usually, the first stage is held at the higher education institution at the place of study of the students. This year, the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad was held from March 15 to March 31, 2025, according to the Order of NTU “KhPI” №50-OD of February 14, 2025, by specialties and disciplines.
In order to fulfill the requirements of the curriculum for the practical training of first-level (bachelor’s) degree students, our graduate students had their internship in May. Within the framework of the project on international academic mobility, namely, semester academic exchange and double degree program, on 22.05.2025 a regular online meeting was held with Anna Kulakovska, coordinator of the educational program “Innovative Technologies and Modern Materials”, coordinator of the double diploma program in Security Engineering, associate professor of the department of Advanced Computing Methods of the Faculty of Natural, Exact and Technical Sciences, candidate of technical sciences at Jan Długosz University in Czestochowa (Poland). Every year, according to the curriculum, in May, our 3rd year students have an internship. Oleksandr YANCHYK, associate professor of the department of OandES, who is responsible for this component of the educational process, is personally involved in organizing the training and work of our students.
This year, together with Oleg KOROTKOV, the head of the Life safety department of NTU “KhPI”, it was proposed to conduct such an internship in this particular department of the Polytechnic. On May 14, 2025, the annual international scientific conference «Information Technologies: Science, Engineering, Technology, Education, Health (MicroCAD-2025)» began its work.
Traditionally, our scientific and pedagogical workers took part in this event and presented their scientific achievements in Subsection 2.4 – Environmental technologies, occupational safety and health, which worked from 14:00 on May 15, 2025. As you know, the International Day of Light is a holiday celebrated since November 14, 2017 at the initiative of UNESCO. It not only emphasizes the importance of light in our lives, but also commemorates the anniversary of the successful testing of the laser, which was carried out on May 16, 1960, by its inventor, the american physicist and engineer Theodore Maiman.
This year, the holiday was organized by the Central Admissions Committee of NTU “KhPI” on May 16 at the Kharkiv scientific lyceum “Genius”. Like the previous non-distance career guidance event, which was held almost a month ago, this one was also held in a bomb shelter, which ensured complete safety of all participants in conditions of air raids in front-line Kharkiv. During the week from May 5 to May 12, 2025, the Department of Occupational Safety and Environment held festive events dedicated to World Occupational Safety and Health Day.
In our country, this day is celebrated annually in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated August 18, 2006 №685/2006.
This year, in accordance with the Rector’s Order №139 OD dated April 30, 2025, our department organized and held informational messages by scientific and pedagogical workers and employees of NTU “KhPI”, a methodological seminar of the department, meetings and classes with students, as well as a Lecture-Report dedicated to the issues of Occupational Safety and Life Safety.
