From February 4 to 5, 2026, the International Congress of Health Disciplines was held, in which employees of our department participated online.
The congress is organized in cooperation with Anadolu University, Bilgecik Sheikh Edebali University, Eskisehir Osmangazi University of Medical Sciences, Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Trabzon University, and others.
This year, on December 4-5, the Department of OandES is holding the 17th International Internet Conference “Human Security in Modern Conditions.” The conference received and included in the collection 105 works by authors from Ukraine, Poland, Italy, Estonia, Slovakia, and other countries, who presented modern research in the field of life safety, technogenic, environmental, information, and psychosocial safety in five areas:
On June 06, 2025, the II round of the International Competition of Student Research Papers in the specialty 263 “Civil Security” was held at the Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University. The competition was held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (letter № 21/08-168 of 31.01.2024) under the auspices of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO (letter № 413/19-194/087/10-2659 of 08.01.2024).
Innovative thinking, responsibility, and professional interest were demonstrated by students of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Safety of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” by participating in the All-Ukrainian Festival of Innovations – 2025.

On May 14, 2025, the annual international scientific conference «Information Technologies: Science, Engineering, Technology, Education, Health (MicroCAD-2025)» began its work.
Traditionally, our scientific and pedagogical workers took part in this event and presented their scientific achievements in Subsection 2.4 – Environmental technologies, occupational safety and health, which worked from 14:00 on May 15, 2025. As you know, the International Day of Light is a holiday celebrated since November 14, 2017 at the initiative of UNESCO. It not only emphasizes the importance of light in our lives, but also commemorates the anniversary of the successful testing of the laser, which was carried out on May 16, 1960, by its inventor, the american physicist and engineer Theodore Maiman.
This year, the holiday was organized by the Central Admissions Committee of NTU “KhPI” on May 16 at the Kharkiv scientific lyceum “Genius”. Like the previous non-distance career guidance event, which was held almost a month ago, this one was also held in a bomb shelter, which ensured complete safety of all participants in conditions of air raids in front-line Kharkiv. During the week from May 5 to May 12, 2025, the Department of Occupational Safety and Environment held festive events dedicated to World Occupational Safety and Health Day.
In our country, this day is celebrated annually in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated August 18, 2006 №685/2006.
This year, in accordance with the Rector’s Order №139 OD dated April 30, 2025, our department organized and held informational messages by scientific and pedagogical workers and employees of NTU “KhPI”, a methodological seminar of the department, meetings and classes with students, as well as a Lecture-Report dedicated to the issues of Occupational Safety and Life Safety. This year, the OandES department held the 16th International Internet Conference “Human Safety in Modern Conditions”. More than 71 abstracts of reports were submitted to the conference, with a total of 116 participants. Last year there were 92 participants. Of all the reports, there are four reports with scientists living in other countries – the USA, Slovakia, Jordan and China.
This year, the traditional international conference International Symposium on Environment and Chemical Engineering took place, which was held in a hybrid format, both online and at Universitas Udayana Denpasar Bali, on December 19-20, 2024. The organizers of the conference this year chose the main topic: Creating a safe environment to improve the quality of life.
