    • since September 2009, the Interdepartmental (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) Research Centre for Intelligent Systems and Applied Linguistics has been established and is actively working based on the Department of Intelligent Computer Systems:

The main activities of the Centre are:

      • Implementation of automated processing of textual information.
      • Modelling of natural language mechanisms.
      • Development of linguistic and systematic principles of the lexical (terminological) database of the Ukrainian language.
      • Training of highly qualified pedagogical staff (candidates and doctors of sciences) in the field of applied and computer linguistics; implementation of research results in public practice and the educational process.
    • in October 2009, the Department of Intelligent Computer Systems, as a representative of NTU “KhPI”, and the Laboratory of Information Technologies in Learning Systems and Machine Vision of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics signed an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation

The purpose of joint activities in conducting scientific research is to carry out work by the laboratory “ІТСН та МЗ” and the Department of “Intelligent Computer Systems” of NTU “KhPI” in the following areas:

      1. Analysis and identification of the advantages of using computer-based testing for objective assessment of students’ knowledge;
      2. Development of tests for knowledge control;
      3. Testing and implementation of work in technical universities;
      4. Implementation of the proposed system for determining the final knowledge in NTU “KhPI”.
