The educational programs F2 “Software Engineering” and F3 “Computer Science and Intelligent Systems” at the Department of Software Engineering and Intelligent Management Technologies of NTU “KhPI” have different educational focuses and are oriented toward different development paths within the IT field.
F2 “Software Engineering” focuses on industrial software development using engineering approaches and modern teamwork practices.
Students study:
- development of large-scale software products
- teamwork in software development
- software testing and quality assurance
- modern development technologies
- IT project management
F3 “Computer Science and Intelligent Systems” focuses on algorithms, mathematical foundations of computer science, and intelligent technologies.
Within this program, students study:
- algorithms and data structures
- artificial intelligence and intelligent systems
- data analysis
- mathematical foundations of computer science
- development of intelligent and smart systems
In general terms:
F2 is more focused on creating, maintaining, and developing software products within real IT projects and team-based environments.
F3 is more focused on algorithms, research, artificial intelligence, and modern intelligent technologies.
