Career guidance activities in April 2026

The department’s faculty members are continuing their career guidance efforts this academic year regarding admission to the “Occupational health and safety”, educational program, specialization J4 “Occupational health and safety”. In April 2026, remote career guidance events were held with students from the G.Y. Bazima Putivl Lyceum №2 (Sumy Oblast); Poltava Polytechnic Lyceum; Secondary School №1 in Horishni Plavni (Poltava Oblast); and students in their final year at the Kharkiv Regional Medical Vocational College.

The first remote career guidance event was held on April 17, 2026, by associate professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and senior lecturer L.O. Yashchenko with 11th-grade students from the G.Y. Bazima Putivl Lyceum №2 (Sumy Oblast). It was held with the active support and assistance of Deputy Director for Educational and Pedagogical Work Olena Anatoliivna Tarasova. Twenty-one students participated in the event.

The second online career guidance event was held at the Kharkiv Regional Medical Vocational College on April 21, 2026. It was organized by Associate Professor Yashcheritsyn E.V. and conducted by Professor Vaskovets L.A. and Senior Lecturer Yashchenko L.O. The event took place with the active support and assistance of Deputy Director for Academic Affairs Kuznetsova Alla Vasylivna, and was attended by 46 college students. During the event, Senior Lecturer L.O. Yashchenko spoke about NTU “KhPI,” the benefits of studying there – particularly in the J4 “Occupational health and safety” program – and various aspects of both last year’s admissions campaign to higher education institutions and preparations for this year’s campaign, which is already underway. An important aspect of her presentation was information about the department’s international connections in the context of internships and the opportunity for students in our program to earn a dual degree at a European institution of higher education – Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (Poland). In turn, Prof. L.A. Vaskovets spoke about employment prospects and career growth after completing studies in the J4 “Occupational health and safety” program.

The third remote career guidance event was held on April 23, 2026, by Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn and Senior Lecturer L.O. Yashchenko with students from the graduating classes of the Poltava Polytechnic Lyceum. It was organized with the active support and assistance of Inna Stanislavivna Reshetchenko, Deputy Director for Academic and Production Affairs. Seventeen students participated in the event.

The fourth remote career guidance event was held on April 24, 2026, by Associate Professor Y. V. Yashcheritsyn with the 11th-grade students of Secondary School №1 in Horishni Plavni. It was organized with the active support and assistance of Deputy Director for Educational Work Natalya Petrivna Manko and 11th-grade homeroom teacher Tetiana Yuriivna Melnychuk. Sixteen students participated in the event.

During all the events in which he personally participated, Associate Professor Y.V. Yashcheritsyn spoke to the audience about NTU “KhPI” and the benefits of studying there, specifically the J4 “Occupational health and safety” program, the prospects for employment and career growth after completing the J4 “Occupational health and safety” program, as well as various aspects of both last year’s admissions campaign to higher education institutions and preparations for this year’s campaign, which is already underway.

In turn, Senior Lecturer L.O. Yashchenko, during events at the G.Y. Bazima Putivl Lyceum №2 (Sumy Oblast) and at the Poltava Polytechnic Lyceum, spoke in detail about the department’s international ties in the context of internships and the acquisition of dual degrees by students majoring in J4 “Occupational health and safety” at a European higher education institution – Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (Poland). In particular, this academic year – during the fall semester – students D.D. Romanova from group MIT-624 and K.D. Reshetnyak from group MIT-622 are studying under the Erasmus+ program at the University of Tartu in Tartu (Estonia).

Speaking to prospective students, Assoc. Prof. Yashcheritsyn E.V. seamlessly combined his presentation with information about the program, the department’s facilities, and demonstrations of measurements using equipment from the “Occupational and Environmental Safety” department’s training laboratory to assess certain parameters of harmful and hazardous industrial factors, namely, temperature – using a Mestek IR01C pyrometer, and air velocity – using a VTMETER VT-816V vane anemometer and an MS-13 cup anemometer.

Thus, in April 2026, 100 prospective students participated in the four online career guidance events organized by the department and mentioned in this article. The department’s faculty members continue their career guidance efforts!
