On April 23–24, 2026, the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” hosted the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Theoretical Conference for Undergraduate and Graduate Students titled “Ukraine and the World: The Humanities and Technical Elite and Social Progress.” The conference organizing committee included the director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Social and Humanitarian Technologies at NTU “KhPI,” Prof. Andrii Kypenskyi; the head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies, and History of Science, Prof. Olena Tverytnykova; the head of the Department of Law, Assoc. Prof. Iryna Lysenko, Associate Prof. Yaroslav Motenko (conference secretary), and others. The event brought together more than 200 young researchers and faculty members from various higher education institutions in Ukraine, serving as a platform for discussing pressing issues in the development of modern society. As part of the conference, the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and History of Science traditionally led three of the nine sections: Section 2 “Current Issues in the History of Ukraine” (Chair – Assoc. Prof. Yevheniia Shyshkina, Secretary – Assoc. Prof. Ihor Dvorkin), Section 3 “Spiritual Culture of Ukraine: Traditions and Modernity” (Chair – Assoc. Prof. Nataliia Fradkina, Secretary – Graduate Student Yulia Stadnik), and Section 8 “History of Science and Technology” (Chair – Prof. Olena Tverytnykova, Secretary – Assoc. Prof. Olha Haidamachuk). The participants focused on issues of humanities and technical development, economic and social transformations, cultural processes, historical research, as well as challenges related to digitalization and the implementation of innovative technologies.
