STEM Quest for School Students in Collaboration with NTU “KhPI”

On April 8, 2026, Senior Lecturer Dmytro Karaman of the Department helped organize a career guidance STEM quest for 9th and 10th grade students at the private lyceum “Kharkiv Collegium.”
The event took the form of an interactive educational game that brought together 9 teams of students (8–10 participants in each). Students navigated through themed STEM stations, completed practical tasks, and earned points that contributed to their overall score. This approach not only engages participants in active learning but also introduces them to modern technologies and engineering fields in an accessible way.

Two interactive activities were presented at the station:
🔹 “Lunar Rover and Obstacles” – participants controlled a radio-controlled robot, following a set path and overcoming obstacles;
🔹 “Space Explorers” – a dynamic game in which students piloted a spaceship using a spatial joystick, dodged asteroids and enemies, and collected resources.

These tasks allowed students to gain hands-on experience with robotics, programming, and complex system control, as well as develop teamwork and engineering thinking.
After the quest concluded, the results were tallied, and the winning teams received prizes. The event served as a vivid example of how modern interactive formats help students better understand their interests and take their first steps toward choosing a future career.
🤝 Thank you to the students and organizers for their enthusiasm, engagement, and wonderful atmosphere!
