Results of the interdisciplinary practical training for bachelor’s students

An analysis of the comprehensive training program for our graduates in Specialization 263 – Civil Security – this academic year demonstrates its high effectiveness, particularly under martial law. For example, higher education student Snizhana Rozhko has been undergoing practical training for the second consecutive year at the facilities of PJSC “TURBOGAZ” – a research and production company comprising an engineering center and several production sites – in the role of an occupational safety specialist. Artem Oleksiyovych Novosyolov, head of the company’s Department of Occupational Safety, Civil Protection, Fire Safety, and Environmental Protection, discussed the results of our graduate’s training in a video interview.

As a result, the candidate demonstrated a high level of theoretical knowledge, which enabled Snizhana to receive practical training as an occupational safety specialist. The company’s representative was the head of the Department of Occupational Safety, Civil Protection, Fire Safety, and Environmental Protection. In his work with the candidate, Artem Oleksiyovych, in addition to covering the main issues regarding the company’s occupational safety system, provided examples of flexible work organization in the workplace under the current conditions of martial law, particularly when performing high-risk tasks. At the same time, it was emphasized that an important aspect remains the employers’ obligation to ensure safe working conditions even in extraordinary circumstances. In his review of the internship results, the supervisor highly commended Snezhana Rozhko’s level of preparation.

I would like to thank the Chair of the Board of PJSC “TURBOGAZ” Olena Vilivna Pastukhova, Deputy Chair of the Board for Human Resources Policy and Administrative Activities Oleksiy Petrovych Kutsenko, as well as the internship supervisor Artem Oleksiyovych Novosyolov for their excellent organization and practical assistance to our graduate, which will allow her to continue her studies at the second (master’s) level in the specialty J4 – Occupational Safety.

In conclusion, it can be said that the faculty of our department provides high-quality training in occupational safety, as evidenced by feedback from companies in the oil and gas industry.
