On May 13, 2026, as part of an international academic mobility project – specifically, a semester-long academic exchange and dual-degree program for students – an online meeting was organized and held with the Coordinator of the educational program “Innovative Technologies and Modern Materials”, the coordinator of the dual degree program in “Safety Engineering”, associate professor of the Department of Advanced Computational Methods at the Faculty of Natural, Exact, and Technical Sciences, and Candidate of Technical Sciences at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (Poland), Anna Kulakowska. The meeting was organized by the Department of Occupational and Environmental Safety through senior lecturer and Candidate of Technical Sciences Larysa Yashchenko, who is responsible for international academic mobility for students in the Department of OandES.
Participants in this online meeting included Nataliia Yevtushenko – professor in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Safety, Candidate of Technical Sciences, and program coordinator for the “Occupational safety and health” educational program at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the specialty J4 “Occupational safety and health”, Natalia Tverdokhlibova – associate professor of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Safety, Ph.D., advisor to group MIT-625, first-year students and their parents.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss further cooperation between the universities regarding internships and educational programs leading to degrees and diplomas for students from our department at two universities: Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (Poland) and the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (Ukraine).
Anna Kulakovska explained and demonstrated, using an informative presentation, all the conditions and opportunities available to students who will be completing an internship or studying at a university in Poland. She spoke about the benefits of our students studying at Jan Długosz University in the Civil Safety program, which covers a wide range of topics, from technical aspects to the reliability and methods of rescue operations, technical safety systems, and civil safety, including information security. The slides contained a wealth of interesting information about training in laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including laboratories for occupational safety and fire safety, technical safety systems, and modular mechatronics.
During the meeting, students, their parents, and faculty members from the Department of Business and Management Studies asked Anna Kulakovska, the educational program coordinator, many questions, to which she provided detailed answers emphasizing the benefits of studying at a Polish university and receiving a relevant certificate upon completion of the internship, as well as a European-style diploma upon graduation from Jan Długosz University, This will undoubtedly provide university graduates with a wide range of opportunities for future employment both in Ukraine and around the world.
