People who are in their ninth decade are the bearers of unique information about traditions that are almost lost today, about the way of life that has undergone significant transformations over the past half century, about people who are no longer alive but who are worth knowing. This time, the guest of our project will be a well-known psychiatrist, actor, singer, and collector who will talk about the traditions of his family, the theatrical traditions of Kharkiv, the outstanding artists with whom he had a warm friendship, and the traditions of the institution that Kharkiv residents call Saburka…
We have a lot to ask, and our guest has a lot to tell.
About the author of the project:
Mykhailo Krasikov is an ethnologist and folklorist, a leading methodologist of the OOMCMC, a professor at the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and History of Science at NTU KhPI, director of the H. Hotkevych Slobozhanski Skarby Ethnographic Museum at NTU KhPI, a member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, the National Union of Local History of Ukraine, winner of the 2007 P. Ivanov Municipal Prize in Folklore and Ethnology, the L. Taniuk Prize for the Preservation of the Historical Memory of Ukraine in 2022, and the Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Folklore Association (SEEFA) Prize in 2023.
