Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor

Scientific direction: research on the processes of suspension separation, mass and heat exchange in waste gas purification technologies, reduction of the volume of effluents, use of secondary heat, and resource, energy saving.

Experience in teaching work is 32 years. Author and co-author of more than 250 scientific and methodical publications, as well as 20 Autor’s certificates and patents. Leading teacher in the disciplines: “Equipment and basics of design of environmentally safe technologies using CAD”, “Design of environmental protection complexes using CAD”, “Engineering systems of water supply and drain”, “Fundamentals of chemical thermodynamics and heat engineering”, “Methods of processing experimental information and results of research”, “Scientific research in the field of creating environmentally friendly low-waste, energy- and resource-saving technologies”, “Equipment and basics of environmentally friendly technologies with the use of automated design system”

After graduating from the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute in 1970 with a degree in “Automation of Chemical Production”, he was hired at the Scientific and Design Institute of General Chemistry. Took part in the development and implementation of equipment for the utilization of secondary energy resources, purification of waste gases and reduction of the sewage volume. In 1985, he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences. In 1987, he took the position of head of the Secondary Energy Resources and Occupational Health Laboratory, where he was involved in the development, design and implementation of equipment to reduce the negative impact of soda and related industries on the environment.

In 1991, he went to work at the Kharkiv State Polytechnic University (later the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”). Combining teaching, scientific and engineering work, in 2003 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, and in 2004 he received the title of professor of the Chemical Engineering and Environment Protection Department. He was the supervisor of 6 post-graduate students who defended theses for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy.

Head of the specialized academic council for awarding the scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences D 64.050.05 at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, member of the specialized academic council for awarding the scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences D 55.051.04 at Sumy State University.
