  1. Involvement of students in international research projects and events

Involvement of students in international scientific projects and events is another area of the Department’s international activity. In 2019, students Diana Krutous, Yulia Gadaieva, Iryna Shcherbina, and Alina Guryeva received certificates of participation in the international project “UPSHIFT Ukraine”, which was implemented under the auspices of UNICEF. In 2019-2020, students of the department took an active part in the events of the World Science Festival, World up cleaning day.

  1. Participation of the department’s teachers in international scientific and scientific-practical conferences and symposia, organisation of international conferences in NTU “KPI; reviewing reports of international conferences

Every year, the department’s teachers, postgraduate students and undergraduates submit about 40 reports to international conferences, including the International Youth Congress “Sustainable Development: Environmental Protection. Energy Saving. Sustainable Environmental Management”, “International scientific and practical conference”, “Hands-on Science. Innovative Education in Science and Technology”, International Scientific Conference “Chemical Technology and Engineering” Eastern European Young Water Professionals Conference. Uniting Europe for Clean Water. It should be noted that such conferences as International Conference on Design, Simulation, Manufacturing: The Innovation Exchange (DSMIE), Materials Science Forum, International Scientific Applied Conference “Problems of Emergency Situations”, International Scientific and Practical Conference “Information Technologies in Education, Science and Technology” ITONT, in which the teachers of the department took part, are indexed by the Scopus scientific and metric database.

Assistant of the Department Oksana Hetta is a member of the Programme Committee of the XV International Scientific and Practical Conference of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students “Theoretical and Practical Research of Young Scientists” (01-03 December 2021), in which Associate Professor T. Tikhomirova also took part with a plenary presentation, and 5 students and 3 postgraduate students of the Department took part in the work of the sections.

Traditionally, every lecturer and postgraduate student of the department takes an active part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Information Technologies: Science, Engineering, Technology, Education, Health” (MicroCAD). Students of the specialities 101 “Ecology” and 133 “Industrial Engineering” also join the conference, preparing abstracts and presenting papers in co-authorship or individually.
