Zinchenko. has more than 118 publications, including 2 monographs (one of which was published internationally), 5 textbooks (two of them approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine), 15 patents in Ukraine, and more than 45 scientific publications in specialized journals, including those indexed in the Scopus database.

SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS

Professor Zinchenko M. leads the scientific direction of “Biotechnology.” Within this area of expertise, scientific research has been conducted at the department since 1986, along with the execution of contractual work in collaboration with PJSC “Sumy NVO.”

As a result of these studies, one of the first biogas plants for organic waste utilization in Ukraine was built in the city of Sumy, which operated steadily for more than 15 years. Considering the results of plant operation and aiming to promote the widespread implementation of biogas plants in Ukraine, the Department of Chemical Technology and Environmental Engineering developed the Ukrainian Scientific Program “Biotechnology” in 1988. Experience gained from the operation of the plant was also applied in designing a series of industrial biogas plants, which were utilized for enterprises such as JSC ‘Poltava Poultry Farm’ and ‘Slobozhansky’ Agrocomplex (Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region), among others. In 2003, a project was carried out, and a farm biogas plant was built near Limassol, Cyprus.

The development of the “Biogas plant” has been awarded several times, namely:

– silver medal of the VDNG (1988)

– a diploma of the republican exhibition “Energy Conservation. Electrical equipment. Energy – 2002”.

– the gold medal of the All-Ukrainian competition – exhibition “The best domestic product of the year-2009”

For developments in the field of bioenergy and ecology, Prof. Zinchenko M. was elected Academic Advisor of the Engineering Academy of Ukraine in the specialty “Environmental Protection (Engineering Ecology and Resource Conservation)”.

In recognition of significant work in the field of bioenergy and ecology, Professor Zinchenko M. was elected as an Academic Advisor to the Engineering Academy of Ukraine in the specialty of ‘Environmental Protection (Engineering Ecology and Resource Conservation).’
