Yurij Dorofyeyev – System analysis and information-analytical technologies department

Graduate of the Department of Technical Cybernetics (the first name of the Department of System Analysis and Information and Analytical Technologies) of NTU “KhPI”.

After completing postgraduate studies, he defended his candidate’s thesis in 1995, and his doctoral thesis in 2016 in the specialty 05.13.07 – automation of control processes. In 2020, he received the academic title of professor. Since 1993, he has been a lecturer, and since 2020 – head of the department.

The sphere of scientific interests includes intellectual information technologies and modern directions of the theory of automatic control. He is the author of more than 80 scientific publications. A regular participant in many international scientific conferences.

I was lucky to be among the students of the first intake of our department. Then we recruited two groups in the specialty “Robotic Systems” and the whole city was covered with leaflets on which a humanoid robot invited applicants to our department. I could not pass by and have never regretted it in my life.

I am proud that, as a student, I participated in the construction of the U2 building and directly the classrooms on the 5th floor, which were later occupied by the SAIT department. I can confidently say that all my achievements in life are connected with NTU “KhPI” and the Department of Systems Analysis and Information and Analytical Technologies.Yuriy Dorofeyev
