We are excited to invite students of National Technical University Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (NTU KhPI) to participate in an exclusive summer school “Building Sustainable Economies after the Crisis-2”, organized within the framework of the DAAD project, in collaboration with Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences. This year, the program introduces an exciting new element: collaboration with Scheidt & Bachmann, one of the leading companies in sustainable business solutions in Germany.
Program Overview
The 2024 Summer School will focus on the topic: “Sustainable Business – Billing for Cloud-Based Applications and Services in a SaaS Model”.
Participants will have the opportunity to work on real-world business challenges provided by the Scheidt & Bachmann Company. The main objective is to develop solutions for cloud-based applications and services, with a particular focus on sustainable and scalable business models. Students will be tasked with researching and evaluating existing billing solutions, comparing them based on economic evaluation, ease of use, and digital integration (APIs).

Program Format
- Online Phase: late September – early October 2024 (exact dates to be announced).
- In-Person Phase: October 19 – November 2, 2024, at Kleve, Germany, and Scheidt & Bachmann HQ in Krefeld/Monchengladbach.
The program will involve lectures, workshops, and group work, culminating in a final presentation of your findings and solutions.
Eligibility and Requirements:
Students should be in at least their 3rd semester.

Terms of Participation:
Participation is free of charge. Eligible students can anticipate a daily allowance of €42 along with partial travel expense coverage. Upon completion, participants will be granted certificates of participation.

- Partial travel expense coverage is available as well.
