In the period from September 25 to 29, 2023, assoc. professor E.V. Yashcheritsyn vocational orientation work was conducted among the students of the graduating classes of Kharkiv Lyceum № 74 and their parents regarding admission to the specialty 263 “Civil Security” educational level “bachelor” and obtaining a second higher education at the “master’s” level.
Considering that most of them were evacuated, the work was carried out using remote technologies.
On June 10, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the event “Science that saves” (eco-friendly STEM fair and master class), organized by the Central Admissions Committee of NTU “KhPI”, took place in Nikolsky shopping center. Among the 7 departments of our university, our department – “Occupational and environmental safety” took part in this event.
This event provided an opportunity for future applicants to have direct contact with representatives of departments.
NTU “KhPI” with the assistance of the Kharkiv City Hall organized a scientific festival in the STEM style “Light that gives hope”, which is dedicated to the Day of Science and the International Day of Light. The event took place on May 21 at Nikolsky shopping center, offline for the first time during the war. About 2,000 people became guests, who were able to see a bright show of music, dance, experiments, laboratories, quizzes and master classes from various fields. All this was demonstrated by students, teachers and scientists of Kharkiv Polytechnic.
The department of “Occupational and Environmental Safety” department also took part in this event and introduced future applicants to the educational program 263.01 “Occupational safety and health” specialty 263 “Civil Security”.

On Monday, January 24, 2022, Assoc. Yashcheritsyn E. from 15.00 to 16.00 in the “Arsenal of Ideas” (electric building of NTU “KhPI”) as part of the general university event “Vacation in the style of STEM Camp School” was a career guidance event in the form of a lecture on “Interesting devices to control harmful and dangerous factors.”
The purpose of the event was to develop students’ interest in devices that measure the levels of harmful and dangerous factors of production, to determine the profession of people involved in this business and, accordingly, to find applicants for the specialty 263 “Civil Security”.
For this purpose, a presentation was used, which was demonstrated with the help of multimedia equipment. At the same time there was a demonstration of work on the following cathedral devices: noise meter “Robotron” 00024; anemometer wing digital AP-1; anemometer wing digital (portable) VTMETER VT-816V; pyrometers INFRARED THERMOMETER IEK 60825-1; Uu-116 luxmeters and other devices.
The event was attended by 10th grade students of Kharkiv Secondary School №119 with a total number of 19 students and their accompanying teacher.

On Friday, December 24, 2021, Assoc. Yashcheritsyn E. and Bukatenko N. at 13.30 a career guidance event was held at the Kharkiv Computer and Technological College of NTU “KhPI”.
The purpose of the event was to find entrants to the specialty 263 “Civil Security”. The event was held in the form of a lecture on “Devices for control of harmful and dangerous factors of production”. During the teaching of the material there was a demonstration of work on the following cathedral devices: noise meter “Robotron” 00024; anemometer wing digital AP-1; anemometer wing digital (portable) VTMETER VT-816V; pyrometers INFRARED THERMOMETER IEK 60825-1; U-116 luxmeters and other devices.
The event was attended by 4th year students of the college with a total of 15 students.

On Friday, December 10, 2021 assoc. prof. E. Yashcheritsyn and prof. Raiko V. at 10.30 a career guidance event was held in the Kharkiv general educational school №74. Previously this year with this school, assoc. prof. E. Yashcheritsyn there was a final cooperation agreement with NTU “KhPI”. The purpose of the event was to find applicants for admission to the specialty 263 Civil Security. The event was held in the form of a lecture on the topic “Devices for monitoring harmful and hazardous production factors”.
The event was attended by schoolchildren of grade 11 with a total of 24 schoolchildren. The presented photos show the working moments of the vocational guidance event.
