Досить тривалий час Національний інститут морських справ (National Institute of Maritime Affairs, NIMA) кампус Університету Бахрії у Карачі, проводить дослідження в галузі екології і екологічної безпеки пов’язаними з суспільством та водними і морськими ресурсами. As part of career orientation work on the admission of applicants to specialty 263 “Civil Security” of the “Occupational safety and health” educational program on January 26, 2024, associate prof. of department Yascheritsin Evgen a distance career orientation event was held with students of the communal institution Zolochiv Lyceum No. 2 of the Kharkiv region. The event was held with the active support and assistance of the administration of this educational institution, namely, the deputy director for educational work – L.M. Tkach. 21 students of the 11th grade took part in the event. 
40 Kahoot quizzes under the slogan “Winter Kahutiada” were held live on the Telegram channel from January 8 to 12, 2024 for potential applicants and future students of NTU “KhPI” as part of the educational and entertainment event “Vacation with Polytech”.
At the end of 2023, the department reported to the directorate of the National Research Institute of MIT on the publishing activities of scientific and pedagogical workers. It should be noted that the authors’ collectives and individual teachers distinguished themselves by fruitful work in this direction.

State certification of masters was held at the Department of Occupational Safety and Environment. The head of the DEC is the head of the Department of Computer Modeling and Integrated Pressure Processing Technologies, Dсcs., professor V.L. Chuhlib, as well as the members of the DEC are professor V.V. Berezutskyi, professor S.O. Vambol, associate professor N.S. Yevtushenko. and secretary Ilyinska N.V. for three days, full-time and part-time master’s degree graduates were examined. 
On December 7-8, 2023, the department held the XV International Scientific and Methodological Conference and the EAS International Scientific Conference «Human Safety in Modern Conditions» in online format. More than 92 abstracts of reports were submitted to the conference, with the number of participants – 190. Most of the reports were devoted to life safety during war and military operations.
